The first and only halal leaf gelatin, powder gelatin and derivatives producer of Turkey, Gelner Gıda, which was established in Balıkesir Gönen Organized Industrial Zone, was visited by Balıkesir Governor Hasan Şıldak, Balıkesir Deputy Yavuz Subaşı and Gönen District Governor Arslan Yurt.
Gelner Gıda Facility, which was established in March 2021 on an open area of 22 thousand square meters, 10 thousand square meters of which is an indoor area, in Gönen Leather Specialization and Mixed Organized Industrial Zone, with the partnership of Uyguner Leather and Jelyap, hosted its high-level visitors. Balıkesir Governor Hasan Şıldak, Balıkesir Deputy Yavuz Subaşı, Gönen District Governor Arslan Yurt and their delegation examined the production on site and made evaluations.
Gelner Gıda was established with the collaboration of Jelyap company, founded by Başyiğit brothers, who started to work on the production of gelatin and its derivatives 15 years ago in Gebze Technopolis, and Uyguner Leather, the foundation of which was laid 85 years ago in Kazlıçeşme and today one of the most rooted leather companies of our country. Gelner Gıda, which is a biotechnology production company and carries out joint projects with TÜBİTAK, started to produce and export its products in a short time. Gelner Gıda, which was established with the aim of exporting from Gonen to the world, exported from Gonen Leather OIZ to Europe, Qatar, America, Russia, Southeast Asia and China within the first year of its production.
